WG Survey

Data is the best way to start a good discussion. Therefore, the Leibniz PhD Network has founded the WG Survey, to monitor and understand the situation of doctoral researchers in the Leibniz association. Together with our partners in N2 we have developed a harmonized questionnaire and conducted the first joint survey in 2019. The data has been published and we are now in discussions with the Leibniz association on how to improve the situation of doctoral researchers.

We are always looking for new team members. You don´t need to know how to code. A majority of the work is evaluating the data and writing about it, a skill all doctoral researchers have.

If you want to join just write an email to the working group coordinators: Marco Gierke – gierke@ids-mannheim.de and Emilio Perez-Bosch Quesada – quesada@ihp-microelectronics.com.

Currently, the working group is subdivided into three subgroups:

  • Institute specific data analysis
  • What influence do graduate schools have on a PhD?
  • Preparation of the 2021 Survey
